Challenge

With the vision to become ASEAN Sustainable Business Leader in 2015, SCG wanted to become a role model in Corporate Governance (CG) and Sustainable Development (SD). To achieve this vision, SCG needed to promote its brand and business philosophy to Indonesia, the largest market in ASEAN, enhance sustainable relationship with the public, and create trust among key stakeholders.

Strategic Approach

Edelman Indonesia assisted SCG in achieving these objectives by developing SCG Indonesia narrative, building strong relationships with stakeholders (including employees and the media) through a series of relevant activities, and communicated SCG’s reputation as ASEAN sustainable business leader through communication activities and BU movement.

Result

As a result of the campaign, SCG gained extensive media coverage during the announcement of its first factory groundbreaking ceremony, and increased media awareness on SCG’s business.
